Featured: Pueblo Oven Bead Making - Experience one of the Pueblo’s oldest traditions, breadmaking in a traditional Huruna (oven). A Pueblo member will demonstrate how to prepare the dough and bake it in the Hurana. After, the bread will be served with a variety of butters and preserves.
The Rodeo is taking place offsite at the Tamaya Stables. We are providing shuttles to and from the stables.
The shuttles will pick up from the Horse Carriage Turnaround, which is located outside towards the Cottonwoods Pavillion. You will see a green wagon, that is where the shuttles will be picking people up. Please meet there starting at 4:10 pm. Collaborative staff will help direct you to the shuttles. Once a shuttle is full, it will depart for the stables, which is a 6-minute drive away. Shuttles will continue bringing attendees to the stables until everyone has arrived.
Rodeo Location: Tamaya Stables, 1300 Tuyuna Trail, Santa Ana Pueblo, NM 87004
Join us for the first-ever 50 State Afterschool Network Rodeo! Witness stablehands from the Tamaya Stables show off their roping and horsemanship skills and participate in some fun rodeo-themed games. Whether you choose to participate or simply cheer on your fellow network members, it promises to be a lively show. While this activity is optional, we encourage you to join us for this unique experience.
Dress Code: We'll be visiting a horse stable, so we recommend clothes that can get a little dusty, a hat, comfortable shoes like sneakers or boots and bringing a water bottle.
